Primary Only

Patient is a 3 month old male who sustained a right obstetrical brachial plexus palsy. The patient was initially treated with physical therapy. However, at 3 months of age he did not recover elbow flexion and underwent surgical repair and grafting of his brachial plexus.

At 6 months post-operative patient is noted to have improved elbow flexion. He was continued on physical therapy.

At 2 years post op visit the patient is noted to have near complete recovery of his shoulder abduction in addition to full elbow flexion. He was continued on physical therapy and seen again in 1 year demonstrating improved strength with the need of continued therapy to refine positioning.
